Our Fine Arts Parent Group (The Parent Ensemble) is busy putting together fair trade wares to share with all of the families of Waters School (and benefit global relief organizations) at our upcoming International Day Fair Trade Bazaar (May 17, 2008).

FAMILY PICTURES IN TWO VOICES WAS A PARENT/STUDENT BOOK CLUB, MURAL MAKING & QUILTING PROJECT THAT WAS INSPIRED BY THE FABULOUS NARRATIVE PAINTING OF CARMEN LOMAS GARZA! STOP BY AND SEE OUR FINAL PROJECT---A FAMILY HISTORY HALL ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF OUR SCHOOL IN WORDS, PAINT AND CLOTH!
OUR WINDOWS TO THE WORLD: RECYCLED GARDEN ART WAS A PAPERMAKING AND "STAINED GLASS" PROJECT THAT LOOKED AT RECYCLING OUR PRECIOUS RESOURCES IN A WAY THAT INSPIRES EVERYONE! OUR FINAL PRODUCT WAS NEW ARTISTIC WINDOW GLASS FOR THE FRONT DOORS OF OUR SCHOOL!

MAKING POLITICAL ACTIVISM PERSONAL TO YOU, a recent visual art and music CAPE project, is now available under the Fine Arts page of our website. Click on the music icon and see our archive documenting student personal stories, studying and expressing the art forms of the Mexican Revolution and sharing interpretations of their 1st Amendment rights in this project.
