History Fair Update
After successfully competing in the Waters and Chicago History Fairs, 8th grade social studies students Maria Ardila and Tabita Marchis have been selected to advance to the state History Fair competition to be held Thursday, May 8th in Springfield. Their exhibit board entitled The Nazis in Skokie: Exploitation of Liberty will compete against other projects from all around the state. Wish our young historians good luck!
Music/Art Notes:
Parent Ensemble meeting TUESDAYS at 9am in Room 305!
Needed: Your plastic bags that any newspaper is delivered in. Students are making really cool things with them. These and many more handmade items will be for sale at the International Day May 17th! Please drop these off in the Office.

May Happenings:
Operation KidSafe
Tuesday May 13th, exact times to follow.
For Free the State of Illinois will be at school to take your child’s photo and fingerprints then produce a State ID card. This will be available for students and their younger non-school aged siblings. In addition,
Medical Cards for adults to be used as Medical ID's will be taken for those who want them.
Tot Tuesdays have started again.
Tuesday mornings, 9:30-10:15ish in the Library. All are welcomed and it’s FREE! Come join the fun with!
May 8th and 22nd – Final School Tours, 9:30 am starting in the Library.
Ecology Notes:
Ms. Nolan's 4th grade Mighty Acorns are off to Sauganash Prairie Grove on Wednesday May 30 to study Spring ephemeral flowers, the alien invader Garlic Mustard, and the native stinging nettle. Volunteers meet at 9:00 in the Fieldhouse.
Ms. Allen's 7th graders will go fishing in Montrose harbor on Friday May 2nd, to learn about Lake Michigan food chains. Volunteers welcomed in the Fieldhouse at 9:00.
Ecology club meeting Thursday May 1, 3-4:00pm in the Computer Lab.

Raffle Tickets News!!!
Last Day to sell tickets is May 6th. Must be turned into the office by the end of the day.
On Monday April 28th Class sales totals to date will be posted outside the office.
SEND US YOUR WINE!
We need donations for our fabulous wine toss at the auction! We are far behind our donations from last year! There are several options for pick -up or drop off. You can drop your bottle at 4511 N Campbell or
call Tracy Fisher at 773-463-5052 and she will pick it up from you
Buy your wine at The Fine Wine Brokers at 4621 N. Lincoln Ave. in Lincoln Square. For every 10 bottles of wine bought for the Waters Auction, the store will donate a bottle. You can buy it there and leave it, we will pick it up! Don't forget to tell them it's for the auction!
