Waters was selected as one of nine CPS schools to participate in a pilot One to One Laptop Iniative funded by the State of Illinois.  The computers arrived in December and sixth grade students in rooms 304 and 307 began to work with the tablet computers in January. Ms. Termini, Ms. Radnitzer and Ms. Vecchioni are working with the students and classroom teachers to integrate technology into the curriculum.  One of our first projects is learning about ancient civilizations, using the Internet and the software application OneNote.  Below are selections showing the students at work on the tablets, writing and drawing on the screen to record their notes and impressions of images they located on the Oriental Institute Museum's website and copied onto their computers.
