East Peoria School District 86 and the Northwestern University Collaboratory Project invite all students in grades K-3 students to participate in the Monarch Award Book Club. My Favorite Books Survey After registering for the Project, students and teachers take a Survey about their favorite kinds of books. The Monarch Award Book Club Cybrary Students and teachers will submit links to the Cybrary about the Monarch books and authors and any related information. They can also submit links about Monarch and the Monarch Award. Students will use the Cybrary to help them select the books they want to read. The 2007 Monarch Internet Book Club Students will submit reviews of the books they have read in the Internet Book Club (IBC). They will then use the IBC discussion area to talk about the books with their fellow reviewers. How Did You Vote? Survey After discussing the books they have read, students vote for their favorite Monarch nominee and will analyze the results. The Picture My Vote Nexus Community After discussing the books they have read, students will contribute to the Picture My Vote Nexus Community by drawing a picture of their favorite Monarch Award Book and publishing it in the Nexus Community.
