- Let's Learn About Frogs and Toads
Using the Cybrary, students learn about the anatomy, habitat, and life cycle of frogs and toads.
- What Are We Listening For?
Using the Cybrary, students learn about the target species that they will listen for, including their calls and where they can be heard.
- Let’s Listen for Frogs and Toads
In groups of at least three, students go as a class near a water source with an adult after dusk and listen for the target species, recording data on the weather, habitat and population of the frogs and/or toads they hear, and reporting this information in the Survey Studio.
- The Secret Lives of Frogs and Toads
Students observe, collect data and report on frog and toad populations once a month.
- Monthly Frog and Toad Reports
Each class creates a monthly report summarizing their findings and reviews other class' monthly reports.
- Frogs and Toads are Everywhere!
Students use the interactive map to see where other students are collecting data on frogs and toads. They review and discuss the reports of classes observing frog and toad populations in other parts of Illinois.
