In this project sponsored by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), students will learn about the anatomy, habitat, life cycle and calls of the frogs and toads of Illinois. They will then visit a water source near their school or home and help scientists learn more about the location and population numbers of these amphibians by identifying their calls, and collecting and reporting data.
