About the Day in Our Neighborhood Project
The Northwestern University Collaboratory Project invites all K-12 students to participate in the third annual A Day in Our Neighborhood to learn more about the communities around us. A Day in Our Neighborhood Cybrary After registering for the Project, students and teachers submit a link about their school and hometown for students in other parts of the world. A Day in Our Neighborhood Survey On May 7, 2008, students take an on-line Survey to learn more about the other students who are participating in the A Day in Our Neighborhood Project and their schools and communities. The Day in Our Neighborhood Nexus Community Students will take photographs and record audio (optional) of the locations in their school and community. They will then share these with other participants, along with descriptions of what their photographs and/or recorded audio clips feature. The Day in Our Neighborhood Interactive MapThe student work in this project will be accessible through an online interactive map that will mark the different areas where the data, photographs, audio clips and captions were collected for this project.
