The South Pond Project
Lincoln Park Zoo (2004 - 2007)
The Collaboratory Project is working with the Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago on how students can use the Collaboratory to share, discuss and analyze environmental data collected while visiting the South Pond. A Day at the South Pond was created in the Collaboratory to support online collaborative environmental data collection activities to prepare students at home/school and compare with the South Pond. Over 30 Chicago schools are participating in the South Pond Project.

CPS Alumni Memory Boards
Chicago Public Schools, Chicago History Museum  (2005 - 2007)
The Chicago Public Schools and Chicago History Museum, with funding from the Sloan Foundation, are working with the Collaboratory Project to engage CPS students and alumni in creating on-line „Memory Boards‰ about their school and neighborhood history. The goal of the project is to create and make accessible historical and biographical information about the schools and their graduates, enrich and record neighborhood histories, foster intergenerational exchanges between current and past students, engender new communities of interest among graduates with their school, and facilitate traditional alumni activities.
  Becoming a History Maker (2005 - 2006)
TheHistoryMakers, Chicago IL
The HistoryMakers is a national non-profit educational institution committed to preserving, developing and providing easy access to an archive of African American video oral histories.  The purpose of this archive is to educate and to show the breadth and depth of this important American history as told by the first person; highlight the accomplishments of individual African Americans across a variety of disciplines; showcase those who have played a role in African American led movements and/or organizations; and, preserve this material for years and generations to come.  The HistoryMakers is working with the Collaboratory Project to pilot online education projects in the Collaboratory that leverage the HistoryMaker archive and resources.
