Oak Terrace Elementary
We are learning about 3-Dimensional forms and the Papier Mache' process during the creation of our bird sculptures!

First, we created an armature out of newspaper and cardboard:

Second, we tore colored paper to get ready for the papier mache' process:

Then we used papier mache paste to apply the torn paper "feathers" to our armatures:

After adding pipe-cleaner feet, wiggly eyes, and feathers, our birds were ready for display.
Some sat atop tree branches, while others flew high above our lockers:
