Anyone can post anything on the Internet and some stuff is just not meant for kids.

Show your parents that you are a safe and sensible surfer by following these guidelines.

1.Sensible Surfers use kid-safe search engines like Yahooligans or KidsClick and know how to search for the information they want.
2.Sensible Surfers know how to leave a site by using the home icon or the back arrow.
3.Sensible Surfers never tell anyone they meet on the Internet.

                    their full name,
                    their home address,
                    their telephone number
                    their school’s name

4.Sensible surfers always tell their parents or their teachers if they see bad language or nasty pictures while they are online.
5.Sensible surfers never pretend to be anyone of anything they are not, but they do use a nickname to keep themselves safe
6.Sensible surfers leave a chat room if someone says or writes something that makes them feel uncomfortable or worried, or if someone asks them a very personal question.
7.Sensible surfers always check with their parents before they send anyone anything.
8.Sensible surfers never arrange to meet anyone they meet on the Internet unless their parents go with them.
9.Sensible surfers always keep their password a secret. They don’t even tell their best friend
