Free Clip Art for your pages The Design Shoppe creates a variety of web graphics for people to use to create web sites. The web graphics on the site are free, original, may be used for any non-commercial purpose and are subject to their terms of use.

The Design Shoppe also takes requests; people can email them and describe what they would like.

More Free Clip Art The Icon Bazaar will let you use up to 20 of their graphics for educational sites. Make sure to give them credit if you do use these images.
Backgrounds you can use on your web pages Go to the page, and find a background you like, then to download a background in Netscape, use the right mouse button to click on the one you want and hold down the button until the menu pops up (on a Mac just hold the button down until the menu appears.)
Web Counters - free and ones that you have to pay for While I don't think counters are a good idea (who wants to see that after a month only 5 people have accessed your page, and that 2 of them were YOU trying to see how many hits you got on your page?) here's a fairly comprehensive list of sites you can get counters from. It is up to YOU to figure out how to do it!
More Free Clip Art for your pages This page is slow to load onto your computer, but has lots and lots of free graphics - pictures, animations, buttons, arrows, etc. To download an image  in Netscape, use the right mouse button to click on the one you want and hold down the button until the menu pops up (on a Mac just hold the button down until the menu appears.)
