Description of Institution
The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, a non-profit graduate school of business founded on a partnership between business and education. The School offers an Executive MBA Program for Chicago-area working professionals, taught by Chicago-area business leaders. Courses in the program are designed to build on the skills students bring to the program and to sharpen their analytical abilities by combining course work with day-to-day professional experiences. Students have an average of 11 years of work experience in the workplace and four years is the basic requirement. Corporate leadership education is provided by the School's LEAP (Leadership Education Advancing Performance) program.

Tuition & Fees
Tuition includes books and materials. Tuition for the 1997-1998 academic year is $1,525 per course. Tuition for the 1998-1999 academic year to be determined.

Academic Calendar
The academic year is made up of four quarters, each 10 weeks long. Elective courses are offered in the summer.

Campus Support Services
Special programs hosted by the School are designed to enhance learning outside the classroom. The Alumni Placement Network provides help with job searches to temporarily unemployed alumni and students.

Degrees and Certification

M.B.A.
Master of Business Administration

The M.B.A. program is composed of a planned sequence of sixteen courses, which includes three electives, typically completed in either gour years, when taken at a rate of one course per term, or in two years at a rate of two courses per term.

Weeknight classes meet from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday classes meet from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Lake Forest and Schaumburg. Chicago classes meet evenings from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Faculty members are academically qualified business executives who have significant experience in the field in which they teach. The faculty and students combined bring an interactive and real-world perspective into the classroom. The full program is available at all campus locations.

The School is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
