Description of Institution
The Illinois Institute of Art at Schaumburg offers specialized, career focused A.A.S. and B.F.A. degree programs in computer animation, multimedia communication, graphic design, and interior design. Day and evening classes are offered in all degree programs. Classes are taught by industry professionals using state-of-the-industry technology. Conveniently located in new facilities near the Woodfield mall in Schaumburg, the Illinois Institute of Art at Schaumburg is an additional location of the Illinois Institute of Art at Chicago and is associated with the Art Institutes International.

Tuition & Fees
$218 per-quarter hours. All courses are 4 quarter hours.

Academic Calendar
There are four quarters a year starting in January, April, July and October.

A.A.S Associates in Applied Science
B.F.A. Bachelor in Fine Arts
B.A. Bachelor of Arts


The B.F.A. and B.A. degrees require 120-quarter hours in the major and 60 quarter hours in general education.

The A.A.S. degree requires 72-quarter hours in the major and 24 quarter hours in general education.

Transfer credit is awarded for courses taken at accredited institutions that are equivalents to a course offered at The Illinois Institute of Art.
