Description of Institution
DePaul University, the second largest Catholic University in the country, was founded by the Vincentian Order in 1898. With a faculty of 534 full-time and 577 part-time members in eight colleges DePaul serves a diverse student body with a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs. Its total enrollment in fall, 1997, is 17,804, including 10,390 undergraduates, 5,939 graduate students, and 1,162 law students. "The faculty [is] one of the most diverse around," noted TIME Magazine and The Princeton Review when they named DePaul one of six runners-up for College of the Year. The honor was published in the 1998 edition of "The Best College for You."

Tuition & Fees
Tuition for 1997-1998: Tuition varies slightly between DePaul's colleges, but averages about $275 per credit hour. Various fees may also be required.

Academic Calendar
Three ten-week quarters, two five-week summer sessions and one five-week session between the Fall and Winter quarters.

DePaul offers a variety of student support services including career planning and placement, financial aid, academic advising, counseling, library services, computer and information services.
