Student tuition


Tuition and fees are paid to and at the established rate of the institution offering the course.

Tuition for courses offered by the community colleges are at sending college's in-district rates regardless of the location of the NSHEC receiving site(s).


Financial aid eligibility


Students may use courses from several institutions under the consortia arrangement for the NSHEC Interactive Video Network to qualify for financial aid. Any student eligible for financial aid through this consortia arrangement must work with, and the funds will be passed through, the student's home institution. In other words, financial aid will be paid through the student's home institution and then paid to the institution offering the course.

Note: The home institution is defined as the institution from which the student is enroll as a degree seeking student and from which the student will receive a degree.


A procedure has been developed through which a student may qualify for financial aid through the combination of credits at their home institution and appropriate credits offered through the NSHEC Interactive Video Network from other institutions. This procedure, to be coordinated through the financial aid officer at each institution, includes:


As long as the student's home institution has verification of enrollment from the institution offering the course(s), credit may be used for eligibility to determine enrollment status as a full-time/part-time student at the home institution for loans, health insurance and other student programs.
