In order to knit together the diverse institutions into a single system, assuring the smooth interoperability of
the various classrooms on the system, this NSHEC Procedures Manual has been developed. We welcome comments and
recommendations as the semester progresses. This is your network, designed to serve students and faculty in the
region.
As we consider the administrative procedures by which the NSHEC Interactive Video Network will operate, it is critical
to remember that use of the system should be as smooth and easy as possible for our client: THE STUDENT. Each procedure
should be carried out and evaluated in light of this criteria. No procedure should be any more cumbersome than
absolutely necessary to meet the safeguards and requirements of each participating institution.
Our second clients, the faculty, will also be assisted as much as possible to use the NSHEC Interactive Video Network
effectively.
