During FY97, a Task Team from the Curriculum and Professional Development Subcommittee has designed and initiated
a multi-year study of comparable courses delivered over the NSHEC Network and by conventional means. A parallel
study has also been initiated using classes at Maine Township High Schools. An additional study is planned for
community college courses when practicable. For more information concerning this research, contact Dr. Costas Spirou,
Chairman, at National-Louis University (847/475-1100 extension 2220) or Dr. David Levin at DePaul University (312/362-6314).
The academic year calendar for each institution is included in the individual sections of this manual. The availability
of classrooms is affected by the institutional calendars at both the originating and receiving sites. If access
is required during a time when an institution in closed, prior arrangements must be made by the faculty member
through the NSHEC Institutional Coordinator (see Contact Phone Numbers at a Glance") at the receiving
institution.
