Task 

Brookfield Zoo has just called the students in room 119 because they need to know more about endangered animals.  We will be gathering in groups of 2 to pick one animal that is on the endangered species list and gather information on that animal using the internet.  You will also find out why and what made your animal endangered. You will  share your information with the other zoologists in class at the annual Zoologist Convention in the Media Space.


Activity Questions

You will meet with your partner and choose an animal for your report.  You will make sure that your report includes the following information:
  • name of animal 
  • country of origin
  • average size and weight when full grown
  • picture of your animal in its natural habitat
  • type of food the animal eats
  • what conditions made your animal endangered
  • how can human beings  help prevent extinction of species
