About Lekotek Programs: 
       

  • Lekoteks are often housed in United Cerebral Palsy Centers, Easter Seal Society Centers, libraries, hospitals, schools, and community centers. 
  • Lekoteks reach families with children who have Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, autism, developmental delay and other disabilities or developmental vulnerabilities. 
  • Lekoteks throughout the network house over 50,000 toys, adaptive equipment and electronic play materials, and 5,000 software programs. 
  • Lekoteks are independently funded and operated. 
  • Lekoteks are staffed by certified Lekotek Leaders who have backgrounds in child development, special education, or therapeutic disciplines, and have completed an intensive Lekotek Leader Training Seminar. 
  • Lekoteks are supported by the National Lekotek Center through:
