Salary:
PL1 Annual: $32,155
Vacation and Leave Time:
12 hospital holidays, 28 calendar days of vacation, 1 week of educational
leave, and 12 sick days.
Meals:
Each house officer will be provided three meals and a midnight snack
daily, seven days a week. Five guest meals per month are provided.
Uniforms and Pagers:
At the time of appointment, house officers will be provided 4 lab coats,
4 sets of scrubs, an a digital pager free of charge.
Life Support courses:
CPR, PALS, NALS, and ACLS courses provided to all house officers without
fee.
Library:
Duplicating, computers, and an Internet connection are available free
of charge in the Pediatrics library 24 hours a day. The County Academic
Center is available during set hours, seven days a week.
Insurance:
Malpractice Insurance: County indemnifies all employees
involved in patient care.
Health Insurance: Free health insurance for employees
and their dependents.
Dental Insurance: Free for employees.
Vision Insurance: Free for employees.
Life Insurance: Equal to the annual salary with the option
to purchase additional coverage.
Educational Fund:
Each house officer has $800 that can be spent for educational purposes
including books, journals or conferences. |
