iVOTE! '08 Partners

The Collaboratory has partnered with various organizations to help youth organize and bridge the gap between civic engagement and democratic participation.


The Center for Civic Education is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational corporation dedicated to promoting an enlightened and responsible citizenry committed to democratic principles and actively engaged in the practice of democracy in the United States and other countries.

iVOTE! '08 - Project Citizen eCourse
In this eCourse, teachers learn how to use the Collaboratory to participate in Project Citizen as part of the iVOTE! '08 initiative. For more information, email Jessica Chethik at chethik@crfc.org.



The Citizen Advocacy Center is a non-profit, non-partisan community legal organization dedicated to building democracy for the 21st century. Center community lawyers and volunteers focus on strengthening the citizenry's capacity and motivation to participate in civic affairs, building community resources, and improving democratic protocols within our community institutions.



The Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago (CRFC) works with elementary and secondary schools to develop critical thinking skills, civic participation, and commitment to the rule of law among young people.

Illinois Campus Compact is a coalition of colleges and universities committed to increasing campus-wide participation in community and public service by integrating public service as a valued element of undergraduate education.

 


The Fairchild Challenge is a free, multi-disciplinary competition for high school students designed to increase environmental awareness, stewardship and scholarship. It is open to all Chicago-area high schools.
