About the Community Soil Study

The Field Museum invites you to participate in our community soil study, Seasons in the Soil!

The natural worlds, above and below the ground, are intimately connected to each other, and both respond to the changing seasons in dynamic ways. With this program, we hope to help you become more familiar with life underground: the unique habitat of soil and the connections with the natural world above ground. The activities will help you to create your own community soil study which you can share with other students on the Internet. With your participation, we can gather many different community soil studies from all over the country and eventually all over the world. Once you have collected information about your particular community, send it along.

We want to hear from you about your community environment!
