The Collaboratory Project is funded by a grant from
Ameritech. The Project provides project consulting, training, technical
advice, and Web-based resources and services to education, cultural, and
nonprofit organizations interested in using Internet technologies to improve
student learning and achievement. |

The Collaboratory Project is part of Northwestern
University’s
Information Technology organization and draws on the experience
and technical expertise of the entire organization to support its
mission. |

Collaboratory Communication
Services, Resources, and Communities are available through a standard web
browser from servers at Northwestern University 7 days a week, 24 hours
a day. Students can participate with anything from a single computer with
a modem to a fully networked classroom. There is no charge
for services; however, participants are expected to provide the time, resources,
and commitment necessary to complete their projects successfully. |
