The Collaboratory Project is a Northwestern University initiative that provides project consulting, training, technical advice, and Web-based resources and services to K-12 teachers and their students who are interested in using Internet technologies to advance education.
The Collaboratory is an easy-to-use, web-based collaborative environment that teachers use to develop project-based activities that are linked to Illinois Learning Standards.

By September 2009, The Collaboratory Portal will no longer be supported, and pages you and your students have created will become inaccessible. If you want to have a durable record of your work in the Collaboratory Portal, you will need to create archival copies of the pages that interest you. We have created a Guide to Archiving Collaboratory Web Pages to help you.
When you log-in to the Collaboratory from the log-in button above, you will see a new design for the Portal (which we call the New Portal). You can link to the New Portal here and to the old Portal here.
In 2009, we continue to transition to the new iCollaboratory Sites in Google for four of our Sponsored Projects. All Collaboratory members are invited to join us! For more information or to register, contact icollaboratory@gmail.com.
