CPS SBCI in the Collaboratory

by Hayt School Teachers and Collaboratory Staff

The Collaboratory Project has designed a web-based document template to help CPS teachers create standards-based lesson plans online. The web-based CPS Daily Lesson Plan document template is specifically designed to help educators create standards-based lessons in an effective and efficient manner. It features:

  • Easy selection from the Illinois Learning Standards.
  • Lesson plans that are saved online.
  • Lesson plans that can be edited, shared, or printed at any time.

To support CPS teachers, the Collaboratory offers:

  • Free account with personal login and password.
  • Free self-paced eCourse to learn how to use the web-based CPS Daily Lesson Plan document template.
  • Shared lesson plans from CPS

The web-based document template is located in the Collaboratory CPS SBCI Nexus Communities. Four grade level specific CPS SBCI Nexus Communities are made available for CPS teachers in the Collaboratory project CPS SBCI All: Creating, Sharing and Discussing Daily Lesson Plans.

To utilize the CPS Daily Lesson Plan document template in the CPS SBCI Nexus Communities, each teacher needs to apply for a Collaboratory account, gain access the Daily Lesson Plan document template, and complete and save the CPS Daily Lesson Plan web-based documents.

This slide show at How Do I? will help teachers find the answers to these questions:

  1. How do I get a free Collaboratory account?
  2. How do I register for the CPS SBCI Sharing Lesson Plans project?
  3. How do I find the CPS SBCI All: Creating, Sharing and Discussing Daily Lesson Plans project?
  4. How do I find the CPS SBCI Nexus Community for my grade level?
  5. How do I create Daily Lesson Plans in the web-based document template?
